Welcome, Mr Kwan!

Suen Wai Chi, Lisa (’74)

On 7 February 2026, about 20 persons (including several couples) attended a party to welcome Mr Francis Kwan. We shared home-made delicious food and desserts. Doreen So (’58) spent two hours coming to my place. We have Marina Ma (’58) (Principal Mrs Katherine Chau's sister) and her husband George (94 years old) joining us too.

Mr Kwan has given us some Ying Wa school souvenirs and some extra ones for our new members. He also gave three T-shirts to us. He shared some of the interesting events in Ying Wa and in response to a question, his experience being the male principal of a GIRLS school too.

Lovely YW Souvenirs!

The highlights are that Mr Kwan and Marina played the piano, and we all sang the Ying Wa school song together. I am sure everyone enjoyed the day, and it was hard to say Goodbye to Mr Kwan.

I have invited Mr Kwan to come to visit us again, and he even found another two Ying Wa girls to join our group the next day. Amazing!
